There are several themes running through the workshops:

We…

…explore our personal and collective roles in protecting the precious web of life, and encourage creativity in response to nature, helping individuals and businesses reflect on their place in the world and the climate emergency we face. Tailored to both personal and business perspectives, the workshops aim to foster a deeper connection to the environment and inspire sustainable action.

We…

…are all creative beings at our core, but sometimes that creativity can be stifled by the pressures of daily life. Thoughts, feelings, and emotions often find their best outlet through artistic expression in its many forms. Whether it’s writing, painting, or spoken word, creativity is essential to being human—and it can also be a powerful tool for mental well-being.

We…

… all have physical health as we all have mental health, and it deserves the same level of care and attention. The stresses of life and work can take a toll on our well-being, but by fostering positive mental health, we can build stronger, more resilient individuals and communities, knowing how to manage Eco-Anxiety, for instance.

Recognising diversity of thinking and being can bring new ideas; creativity, dynamism and energy to team work, while being sensitive to the planet.

The workshops view the environment through the two lenses of creativity and mental health. Steve says:

I’m combining my concern for the planet, with creativity to offer an opportunity for people to reflect on their relationship with Earth.

I’ve performed at the Edinburgh and Brighton fringe festivals, and run many seminars, workshops and conferences. In these workshops I blend environmental issues with a creative response, and mental health awareness (through my personal experience of bipolar).

My background is both within the public sector, and in business, in policy, enforcement and global environmental management.

How would you summarise our relationship with nature?

Nature is life. We can’t live without the natural world. Naturally, we respond to all that is living around us. We are as much a part of nature as nature is a part of us.

We are all interconnected; what we choose to do affects the web, nature’s web, ecology – the interconnectedness of all life. For example, what we buy and the choices we make can have global implications for people and the planet.

The workshops have the potential to boost team work, loyalty, innovation and business performance. Given the opportunity, to align concern for the environment, experience of mental health and wellbeing, and innate creativity with shared corporate goals, can help people bring about powerful positive change in organisations.
